On December 15, 2015, the AAI with the support of Teatre Lliure and the participation of its sponsors and collaborators, held in the Espai Lliure hall of the Teatre Lliure the 14th Encounter of Light with the designer Pascal Mérat, about his work for Shakespeare’s “King Lear”, directed by Lluis Pasqual.
The day before we had the chance to attend a rehearsal of the show thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the Teatre Lliure.
Despite some technical failures before starting the talk, thanks to the collaboration of the technicians of Teatre LLiure, the system provided by our collaborator and the translator Yan, we could enjoy simultaneous translation during the event. Pascal Mérat
tells us about his beginnings as a lighting technician, his first experiences with dance companies and at the Opera. And how they gave him the versatility to work in different spaces with different materials.
