Don Holder

Lighting designer Don Holder, a 13-time Tony Award nominee , a two-time Tony Award winner for his work on The LionKing and South Pacific, is a five-time Drama Desk Award winner.

Holder is a recognized professional responsible among other designs of Anastasia, Golden boy, Spider-man turn off the dark, The king and I, Tootsie, among others.

He has consulted for large-scale theatres in several countries, is a sought-after teacher of theatrical lighting, and is a graduate of the University of Maine and the Yale School of Drama. He has done several Broadway Lighting Masterclasses.

In addition, he is director of lighting design on the faculty of the California Institute of the Arts (USA), a member of the dance faculty of the Juilliard School and an invited member of the Association of Lighting Authors.

In July 2019 he offered a Masterclass at the Teatro Coliseum in Madrid to the members of the Asociación de Autores de Iluminación.

In August 2019 she won the prestigious ETC Award for Dance, awarded by Knight of Illumination Awards, for her work in Four Quartets at the Barbican Centre in London.
