The finalists were:

Ion Hannibal (AAI)

by The Magic Labyrinth

Ignasi Camprodon (AAI)

by Professor Bernhardi

In the interview with Florencio Ortiz he tells us briefly about the conception of its design:
“The concept of light in Hamlet was very marked by the peculiarity of the scenography. A semicircular space of a little more than three meters radius surrounded by mirrors and a floor that begins as white, then shiny black, red, green, to end in a burnt cork. Any minimal punctual light always implies that the space opens up with the reflection of what is illuminated in the eight mirrors. In spite of this I have abused this lighting at times because it helped me in many scenes to support the dramatic value of it, such as Hamlet’s monologues in which we can only see him surrounded by his reflections”.

“The first lighting proposal I offered to the management was that the grid of spotlights should be visible and that there should be smoke throughout the show”.

“On the one hand it supported the global proposal of direction. I also use it as a scenographic tool, the beam appearing at times as an extension of the scenography. In some scenes it gives me a more expressionist image that at times I was interested in and finally it allowed me a series of licenses that were very useful throughout the process of creating the light”.
