On November 17, 2015, the AAI, with the support of the Circo de los Horrores and the participation of its sponsors and collaborators, held in the tent of the circus itself the XIII Meeting of the light with the lighting designer and partner Juanjo Llorens, about his work for the show “Cabaret maldito”, directed by Suso Silva.
On Sunday November 15th we had the chance to attend a rehearsal of the show thanks to the invaluable collaboration of Circo de los Horrores, who kindly gave us seats for associates and sponsors.
During the meeting Juanjo told us about his beginnings in the world of show business, his time in different national companies (CNTC and CND) and the learning that this brought him.
Later he explained in detail his work for the lighting of circus shows, a field where he has extensive experience and in particular for “Cabaret maldito”.
Juanjo was commenting on his work for each of the numbers that make up the show. He explained the particularities of lighting for circus, the choice of angles and colors, the care that has to be taken so that the light is not annoying for certain circus acts where there is risk for artists, etc..
It was very interesting to attend his explanations and see the passion with which he undertakes his designs and develops his work. From the AAI we could not be more grateful to Juanjo for sharing his experience with all of us.
The day ended with a question and answer session, the usual family photo and the presentation of the commemorative plaque.
