Last Tuesday, April 23, 2019 took place the “II Jornada De Derechos De Autor en La Plástica Escénica, Audiovisual Y Cinematográfica”.
Thanks to the generosity of the Foundation SGAE, this year the event was held in the Manuel de Falla Hall of the emblematic building of the headquarters, an incomparable setting for this activity organized by theSGAE. AAPEE (Association of Plastic and Scenic Artists of Spain), AEC (Spanish Association Of Authors Of Cinematographic Photographic Works), AAI (Association of Authors of Illumination) and OISTAT Spain (International Organization of Technical Scenographers and Theatre Architects).
This year the speakers have been chosen among representatives of different Associations and entities related to copyright from different artistic fields.
They joined us to give their input and talk about the topic:
Alexander Voronyuk, a copyright lawyer representing AAPEE, AAI and OISTAT, gave an overview of the work and progress made since last year.
Fermín Cabal, writer and director belonging to the SGAE, spoke to us about great rights and related rights.
Porfirio Enriquez, founder, former president and member emeritus of the ACS gave a summary of the work and achievements of the ACS.
Jesús Cimarro, representing FAETEDA (Federación Estatal De Asociaciones De Asociaciones De Empresas De Teatro Y Danza), explained the position of the entrepreneurs in the performing arts sector.
Marta Gomez, head of the legal department of AISGE (Artistas Intérpretes Sociedad De Gestión España) gave a presentation on the types of intellectual property rights and the legislation in force in this regard.

Next year we hope to repeat the day, we have a long way to go and we will continue working so that the work of the author and creator in the field of stage and light is recognized and respected.
