Last Tuesday, April 23, 2019 took place the “II Jornada De Derechos De Autor en La Plástica Escénica, Audiovisual Y Cinematográfica”.
Thanks to the generosity of the Foundation SGAE, this year the event was held in the Manuel de Falla Hall of the emblematic building of the headquarters, an incomparable setting for this activity organized by theSGAE. AAPEE (Association of Plastic and Scenic Artists of Spain), AEC (Spanish Association Of Authors Of Cinematographic Photographic Works), AAI (Association of Authors of Illumination) and OISTAT Spain (International Organization of Technical Scenographers and Theatre Architects).
This year the speakers have been chosen among representatives of different Associations and entities related to copyright from different artistic fields.
They joined us to give their input and talk about the topic:
Alexander Voronyuk, a copyright lawyer representing AAPEE, AAI and OISTAT, gave an overview of the work and progress made since last year.
Fermín Cabal, writer and director belonging to the SGAE, spoke to us about great rights and related rights.
Porfirio Enriquez, founder, former president and member emeritus of the ACS gave a summary of the work and achievements of the ACS.
Marta Gomez, head of the legal department of AISGE (Artistas Intérpretes Sociedad De Gestión España) gave a presentation on the types of intellectual property rights and the legislation in force in this regard.
We thank all our Sponsors and collaborators and especially the guests who contributed their knowledge and opinions on this day for making the meeting possible. We would also like to thank those who attended the event for being with us and for their contributions in the round of questions.
Next year we hope to repeat the day, we have a long way to go and we will continue working so that the work of the author and creator in the field of stage and light is recognized and respected.
Soon we will offer you the video of this event.
