Guillermo Heras new president of the Spanish Stage Directors’ Association
From the Association of Authors of Illumination we congratulate to Guillermo Herasfor his new position as President of the Spanish Stage Directors Association (ADE). Guillermo Heras is a Spanish actor, theatre director, playwright, theatre manager and editor, winner of the National Theatre Award (1994).
The Asociación de Directores de Escena de España (ADE), collaborator of the AAI, is a professional and cultural entity that brings together most of the theatre directors in Spain and also has an important section of playwrights, theatrical designers and stage designers.
In addition, every year they organize the ADE Awards, among which there is the “Rogelio de Egusquiza” category for Illumination, in honour of the Spanish painter, sculptor and engraver. At the last ADE Awards 2019, Juan Gómez-Cornejo, president of the AAI, won the award for his lighting work in the play Lehman Trilogy.
