Light is part of our life. Without it, the world as we know it would not exist. For centuries, Light and its applications have been a unifying element that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries. It has revolutionized – among other things – medicine, product manufacturing and has enabled the development of the Internet. The year 2015 was declared the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies. The aim was to recognize its importance in the life of the world’s citizens, in the development of society and in the challenges facing humanity.
The Uned broadcasted during this year 2015, a series of radio programs in tribute to the Year of the International Light. In the sixth -and last- program of the series dedicated to the International Year of Light and Light Technologies 2015, broadcasted last 16/02/2016, they talked about “Light and spectacle“.
Light intervenes in cinema and theatre, in ballet and musical concerts, in all the performing arts. We approach its importance through the testimonies of a veteran actor, or prestigious experts from the world of professional lighting, this is where our colleagues and board members Óscar Gallardo and Ezequiel Nobili participate.
