From the Asociación de Autores de Iluminación (AAI) we want to recognize and pay tribute to the great work and professionalism of the late Pedro Olivar. We appointed Pedro Olivar, one of the pioneers in the lighting of live shows in Spain, as Honorary Member. He began his working life at the end of the 60’s in Rafael Cordova’s Company with whom he toured the world with large productions. He was a lighting designer for the Revista genre in the 70’s and 80’s, and worked with the companies of Lina Morgan, Lola Flores, André Pajares, Juanito Navarro, among others. He designed the lighting for the equestrian fair in Jerez, was part of the renovation of the PACHA nightclub in Madrid. He worked with the musical groups Obús and Barón Rojo, as well as designing and manufacturing the first Super Towers for Joan Manuel Serrat’s tour.
