Born in Belgium in 1969, lighting designer Alain Corthout has developed his career in the design and production of lighting for large events and concerts. It is in this last sector where he has built an important reputation collaborating with Ignace D’haese / Arf & Yes in the design of the tours of renowned artists such as Miguel Bosé, 2 many DJ’S, DJ Tiësto, Juanes, David Guetta, Alejandro Fernández, Chayanne, Pablo Alborán, Maná or Juan Luis Guerra. Corthout is the owner and founder of the companies Q.be and Lux Lumen, the latter specializing in architectural lighting consultancy.
In September 2015 he gave a lecture on his work in the framework of the “II Jornadas de Plástica teatral : la luz a escena” held at the CDN (Madrid) and was appointed Guest Member of the AAI.
