PRESENTATION OF THE BOOKS BY DESIGNER AND PROFESSOR MAURICIO RINALDI
On March24th, the Argentinian designer and teacher Mauricio Rinaldi presented his two new books in Madrid, at the Yorick Performing Arts bookshop.
The plays that were presented were Aesthetics of light (2018) y Lighting in the black theatre and shadow theatre (2018).
The event was attended by representatives of the AAI (Association of Lighting Authors), who collaborated in it, as well as designers, lighting designers and the public interested in this discipline.
The publications presented, talk about the ways in which light can be treated from the point of view of spatial composition and its developments over time. The possibilities of visual composition with lighting are thus considered. In addition to dealing with the phenomenon of perception and the visual behaviour of materials in relation to light, a methodology for its study from the aesthetic point of view is presented, both in terms of the possibilities of manipulating light and its possible spatial and dynamic configurations. Thus, the purpose of these works is to provide the reader with the conceptual tools for the formal organization of lighting.
These books and others from the author’s bibliography can be purchased at the Yorick bookshop located at Calle Valencia nº 21 in Madrid.
