The Rogelio De Egusquiza Award of Lighting went to Juan Gómez-Cornejo (in the centre) for his work on “Lehman Trilogy”. The award was presented by Carlos Torrijos, Treasurer of the AAI and the minutes were read by Agustín Iglesias, member of the ADE.
Juan Gómez-Cornejo, president of the Asociación de Autores de Iluminación, was elected winner of the “Rogelio de Egusquiza” Award for Lighting, granted by the Spanish Stage Directors Association. Gómez-Cornejo won the award for his lighting work in the play Lehman Trilogy, by Stefano Massini with version and direction by Sergio Peris-Mencheta, the award was presented by the treasurer of the AAI, Carlos Torrijos. Among the nominees were Juanjo Llorens for his work on The Other Gondra (Basque story) y Punishment without vengeance and Ignasi Camprodon for Like the Greeksboth partners of the AAI. “It has been a great journey and it will continue to be, thanks to the Association of Stage Directors of Spain. To work well you have to admire the people who accompany you, it always happens to me, I admire them and thank you very much for continuing to count on me,” added the winner during the speech of gratitude. The ADE Awards 2019, held on February 24 at the Teatro de la Comedia, headquarters of the National Classical Theatre Company, is awarded annually by vote of ADE members.
