TARGET AUDIENCE:
Anyone who has an interest in TouchDesigner software and believes that it can be useful for their projects, creative or functional. Visual artists, 2d/3d graphic designers, programmers, musicians… and anyone interested in visual programming and real-time generative graphics.
METHODOLOGY:
The course addresses the basic operation of the software so that the student can dive into the maximum number of aspects of the platform, to develop an idea of sustainable work with 3D graphics, sound processing and interaction with sensors, and provide skills to create the user interface of their projects.
Participants will acquire a basic-global knowledge of the tool to start creating their visual applications and data control. They will also acquire the practical skills to create multidisciplinary projects through visual programming and its implementation in various areas of digital arts.
The course will cover various techniques for generating images in real time, the construction of a user interface, the visualization of transferring data streams to another type, the construction of interaction between 2D/3D environments, and a brief introduction to the use of DMX/MIDI/OSC protocols and interactivity with the Kinect sensor.
AZAEL FERRER.
Lighting and Video Designer. Multimedia artist and performing arts professional.
His work includes audiovisual installations, live performances, Vj sessions, lighting and video designs. Azael creates immersive experiences through generative graphics, light, sound and objects in space. Her practice is an experimental and elegant exploration of digital arts, technology, + multisensory perception.
He learned his craft by studying Audiovisual Production at the Polytechnic of Marbella (2003-2005) and perfected it through participation in multiple workshops, including Vjspain, Centro de Estudios Escénicos de Andalucía, Universidad Internacional de Andalucía, Lights in Alingsas, (Sweden), and the Creative Coding Fellowship at the Gray Area Foundation in San Francisco.
His personal and collaborative projects have been demonstrated throughout Europe and the United States.
