Choreographers and lighting designers in search of light, was given by the local Councillor for Culture, Mónica Sebastián, the President of the Association of Lighting Authors of Spain, Juan Gómez-Cornejo, and the director of the María Pagés Choreography Centre in Fuenlabrada, El Arbi El Harti. The councillor recalled the objectives of this centre, made possible thanks to the agreement reached between the Fuenlabrada City Council and the Foundation that bears the bailaora’s name: “To create a space open to creation and to the public. A place for permanent artistic experimentation where exploration, coexistence and the exchange of knowledge about the Spanish choreographic heritage is encouraged”. The director of the Centre, El Arbi El Harti, has once again made clear the unconditional support that the City Council gives to this project, “Fuenlabrada does make it possible for utopias to become a reality. This space wants to grow together and become a House of Dance open to the whole world of dance, both to the choreographic world but also to the professions that revolve around dance.
