OUR THANKS TO:
Ben Díaz was invited by the Lighting Authors Association last Friday 25th November 2016, he presented at the center of our friends and collaborators CIFP José Luis Garci, his current vision of LED technology. A talk where we were able to observe his vision from both the user’s and manufacturer’s point of view, telling us secrets and addressing issues that the industry tries not to comment.
This talk, entitled “Beyond the User: Things about LEDs they don’t tell you”, is a global retrospective on the world of LED luminaires. Ben informally, briefly and entertainingly addressed the various technical parameters that are key to understanding an industry in which it is becoming increasingly difficult to find one’s way around.
With more than two hundred attendees, including students, sponsors, collaborators and professionals, the day was a complete success. A turning point to question and debate whether LEDs really are and will be “the light of the future” . With great fluency and dynamism he gave examples and explanations of processes that are not very well known to the user. In his analysis the different types of LED luminaires were reviewed, studying the point of view of the illuminator, the technician, the supplier, the customer, the distributor and above all the manufacturer.
From the AAI we would like to thank Ben Díaz for his masterful conference about LEDs and our friends CIFP José Luis Garci for the cession of their spaces.
