The Asociación de Autores de Iluminación, in collaboration with the Teatre Lliure, presented this Encounter on 3 March 2020, the work carried out by Carlos Marquerie in the play ‘El quadern daurat’ by Doris Lessing, adapted and directed by Carlota Subirós.
Carlos Marquerie (Madrid, 1954) is an author and stage director, plastic artist and illuminator. He was a founding member of the company La Tartana Teatro. In 1990 he founded the Pradillo Theatre in Madrid. In 1996 he created the Lucas Cranach Company. Between 2005 and 2010 he worked on El cuerpo de los amantes, which is composed of two plays: Entre la brumas del cuerpo ( 2008) and Maternidad y osarios (2008). The installation El cuerpo de los amantes II (2010) and several series of drawings and photographs. In 2013 he released 28 vultures fly over my head. Since April 2013 he is part of the team that manages and coordinates the new stage of the Pradillo Theatre. His stage texts are published in the collection “Pliegos de teatro y danza”. As a lighting designer he has collaborated with Elena Córdoba, Rodrigo García, Antonio Fernández Lera, Angélica Liddell and Rocío Molina.
