The Centro de Tecnología del Espectáculo, a training unit belonging to the Instituto Nacional de las Artes Escénicas y de la Música (INAEM), is once again organising, as a National Reference Centre for live performance, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, the Jornadas técnicas nacionales, a series of meetings with leading professionals from the sector whose theme on this occasion is ‘From the artistic team to the technician’. The Conference, which will be broadcast live on CTE’s YouTube channel, starts this Monday 22nd at the San Marcos Auditorium of the Ministry of Culture and Sport and at the Valle-Inclán Theatre and will last until Friday 26th February. The meeting aims to contribute to the knowledge of the work processes involved in a stage production and to bring the trajectory of active artistic professionals who are references in the national scene closer to the students of the CTE as well as to live performance technicians and the general public. A full programme The Conference opens on Monday 22nd at 11:30 am at the Teatro Valle-Inclán with the meeting ‘Process of creation of a staging: The bar that swallowed all Spaniards’, a play written and directed by Alfredo Sanzol.

 

The composer Fernando Velázquez; the actress Natalia Huarte; the lighting designer and president of the AAI Pedro Yagüe; and Beatriz Jaén, assistant director to Alfredo Sanzol, will take part. On Tuesday 23rd the meetings move to the San Marcos Auditorium with the conference of the musician Julio Awad, musical director and arranger of many of the most outstanding titles of musical theatre in our country, and the stage designer Silvia de Marta, who has worked with directors such as Jose Luis Gómez, Gerardo Vera and Mario Gas. The following day, in the same space, it will be the turn of Álvaro Luna (AAI), pioneer of the video-scene, and the actress Arantxa Aranguren. On Thursday, the lighting designer Nicolás Fischtel (AAI) and the dancer, choreographer and director Manuel Liñán will take part. And on Friday the conference will close with the sound designer Sandra Vicente and the costume designer Pedro Moreno.
