Solbes, Josep (1958-2004)

Categoría: Honorary Members

We know that our work is ephemeral and so is our passage through it, but it is hard to believe that great professionals of light go so unnoticed in the historical documentation of our country. This is the case of Josep Solbes and from this gallery of “Members of Honor” we want to pay our tribute and memory.

His professional career was very wide and varied, those of us who knew him and had the good fortune to work with him can verify his passion for this work, the generosity always in his effort and the way he understood light as something essential for dramatic narration. Researcher and pioneer in the use of resources for his projects, it was always great to be by his side and share his passion and knowledge for this art that he collaborated, in much, to begin to be respected in Spain.

Sadly he left us prematurely in Madrid on June 26, 2004.

We remember him and thank him for the path he left open for us.

We would like to thank Marta Calero for her help in compiling the data of her life and wonderful professional career.
